Join James on a guided story walk around some of Essex's most fascinating places - and find out why Essex is one of England's most interesting counties.

 

After walking 400km around Essex and gathering hundreds of the county's most interesting stories, James is now sharing these stories back over 14 unique story walks, through the landscapes where the stories took place. On each walk, you’ll explore the local landscape, brought to life with stories from the area. There’ll be history, folklore and legends, from ancient times to the modern day. You’ll see just how much Essex has changed, and how it’s stayed the same; and how solutions to the challenges Essex faces today can be found in the stories of its past.

These walks are free of charge, although donations are welcome. All ages and experience levels are welcome, although a minimum level of mobility is required for walking at a gentle pace on uneven terrain.
